Have your say on disability standards for education

The Disability Standards for Education have been in place for five years and the Australian Government is reviewing their effectiveness in giving people with a disability the opportunity to succeed in the education system.

Minister for School Education Peter Garrett said recent figures show the numbers of funded school students with disability increased by more than 20 per cent in the four years from 2005 to 2009.

He has released a discussion paper inviting submissions to the Review. The closing date for submission is 5 pm, 21 April 2011.
