New building standards open doors for disability

The Gillard Government today announced the new building accessibility standards, which will ensure all new and upgraded public buildings in Australia will be accessible to people with a disability.

The Disability (Access to Buildings – Premises) Standards 2010 (Premises Standards) is an important milestone in the Government’s National Disability Strategy.
