Who do we help?

Our information service can be used by anyone who lives in the local government areas of Melbourne, Moonee Valley, Maribyrnong, Brimbank, Melton, Wyndham or Hobsons Bay, including:

• older Australians
• people with a disability, chronic health condition or mental illness
• families and carers
• professionals, like general practitioners or community support workers

If you live in a local government area not covered by us you may be able to use similar services provided by one of the other respite and carer support organisations across Victoria.

How can we help?

We have local knowledge about the services and supports available to support you, your family and the person you are caring for, including:

• household help, home modification and maintenance
• personal, nursing and respite care
• transport and meal services
• disability services
• day care and therapy centres
• special services for dementia
• continence assistance
• aged care homes
• allied health care, like podiatry and physiotherapy
• carer support services
• support groups.

We can help you to find out whether you are eligible to receive a service, any costs involved, and who to contact to find out more.

We can also give you information about aged care assessment services for access to Community Aged Care Packages or entry into aged care homes.
