A series of five online workshops designed to help experienced and new volunteer facilitators and group members to run effective carer support groups. All sessions include a combination of new information and opportunities to share your valuable knowledge. \nBuilding on what you know about group dynamics\, we will explore what your Carer Support Group needs in relation to: \n\nfacilitation within the groups existing dynamics.\nhow to create a supportive environment and meet the needs of the talker and the introvert.\nhow to manage conflict when it occurs\n\nWho should attend \nVolunteer or unpaid organisers and facilitators of Carer Support\, peer groups and yarning circles. Relevant for both new and established Groups. \nAbout the presenters \nKim Repcak and Sally Camilleri are Carer Educators at Carers Victoria. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Pathways for Carers Mount Evelyn is a monthly walk hosted by the Mount Evelyn Community House and Reading Room. The walk takes place on the beautiful Warburton Trail. \nWe invite along guests to walk with us and talk about services and resources carers have identified as important or interesting to them. The walk is followed by morning tea at the community house.
