DESCRIPTION:A FREE program by Carers Victoria\n\n\n  \nCarer Support Group Facilitator Learning Program:\nGroup Dynamics -Understanding Your Carer Support Group’s Needs \nCome online and learn more about facilitating your Carer Support Group\, meet other volunteers who are doing the same and share ideas. \nAbout this event \nThis workshop is part of a Learning Program for unpaid/volunteer facilitators and Carer Support Group members. A series of five online workshops designed to help experienced and new volunteer facilitators and group members to run effective carer support groups. All sessions include a combination of new information and opportunities to share your valuable knowledge. \nBuilding on what you know about group dynamics\, we will explore what your Carer Support Group needs in relation to: \n\nfacilitation within the groups existing dynamics.\nhow to create a supportive environment and meet the needs of the talker and the introvert.\nhow to manage conflict when it occurs\n\nWho should attend \nVolunteer or unpaid organisers and facilitators of Carer Support\, peer groups and yarning circles. Relevant for both new and established Groups. \nAbout the presenters \nKim Repcak and Sally Camilleri are Carer Educators at Carers Victoria. Both have many years of experience establishing\, facilitating\, and supporting Carer Support Groups across Victoria and have a passion for supporting carer support groups to flourish. \nPlease note: for PAID FACILITATORS: \nIf you facilitate a carer group\, peer support or yarning circle as part of your paid employment\, please register for our Facilitator Network through our Sector team directly sectorengagement@carersvictoria.org.au \nLocation \nOnline via MS Teams. DESCRIPTION:A free online session for facilitators of Carer Support Groups.\n\n\nPurpose of the Facilitator Network \nThis network is hosted by Carers Victoria to bring together paid/employed facilitators of Carer Groups across Victoria. It creates an opportunity to meet\, network and hear from facilitators in a range of areas and organisations. We welcome both new and experienced facilitators and encourage you to share your expertise\, struggles and wisdom. \nFacilitator Network in 2026 \nIn 2026\, we will be creating a series of events with different topics. \nFacilitators are encouraged to attend one or all sessions. There is no minimum requirement\, and we seek to tailor our material and sessions to the emerging needs of the group. \nAugust 2026 Facilitator Network Meeting \nThis is the third network meeting for 2026. Our topic will be ‘The art of effective listening’ – a skill essential for group facilitation. Join us to brush up on your existing skills and learn about positive listening habits.
