DESCRIPTION:A monthly walking group especially for unpaid older carers or carers of older people. This is a chance to get outdoors\, stay active\, and connect with others. \nFirst Monday every month (except public holidays) meet at the front of South Yarra Senior Citizens Centre in Fawkner Park at 10.45am for an 11am start. From here we will take a walk through Royal Botanic Gardens and finish with a morning tea at 11.30am at Domain Brasserie. \nBookings are required for catering purposes. \nFor carers who live in the City of Melbourne or care for someone who does.

DESCRIPTION:Wellbeing Workshops for Carers is a free\, 10-week program designed to support carers to focus on their own health and wellbeing in a welcoming\, supportive environment. \nThe weekly sessions use gentle movement\, circus-inspired activities and creative play to reduce stress\, build confidence and encourage connection with others who share similar caring experiences. Sessions are relaxed\, non-competitive and adaptable\, with space to move at your own pace. \nWho is it for? \nThese workshops are for carers aged 18+ of any gender\, including those providing paid or unpaid support to someone with illness\, disability\, mental health needs or age-related frailty. \nNo prior experience is required\, and all activities are tailored to suit different bodies\, abilities\, cultural backgrounds and comfort levels. \nDates: \nWeekly sessions from Monday 20 April – Monday 29 June\, 1:30PM-3pm \n(No workshop on 8 June – King’s Birthday Public Holiday) \nYou can book for in for individual sessions or a package: sessions 1-5 or 6-10. \nWhere: \nWomen’s Circus\, 395 Barkly Street\, Footscray VIC \n  \nPresented by Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) and Women’s Circus.

The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for this free pour painting art activity. You will create your own artwork by mixing paints with a pouring medium and pouring\, swirling and tilting it across a canvas to create a marbled design. It is a chance to explore your creative side and create a piece of art to take home. \nAfternoon tea is provided and preschool aged children are welcome! Play leaders are avaible to engage children in meaningful play so you can enjoy the activity and connect with others in similar situations. \nMyTime is a peer support program for parents and carers of children with disabilities\, developmental delays\, or chronic medical conditions. It offers connection\, support\, and resources in a safe and welcoming space. \nEligibility: Open to parents and carers of children up to 18 years of age with disability\, developmental delay\, or chronic medical conditions. \nRSVP: Spaces are limited—registration is essential.
