SUMMARY:Free Event - Exhibition & Opening Night: UNBOUND - by carer artist Connie Wong
DESCRIPTION:I am delighted to share my solo exhibition\, UNBOUND\, featuring a selection of works containing spontaneous body movement\, vibrant colour and luminous light. \nDrawing inspiration from Tony Smibert’s Tao Sublime and the expressive legacy of Zhang Daqian\, I bring forward an artistic voice shaped by my environment and by the reality of navigating ageism\, gender bias\, and the quiet invisibility often experienced by migrants and long-time carers. \nMy paintings transform the challenges of long-time carer\, ageism\, gender bias and cultural invisibility into colour\, movement and emotional openness. \nUNBOUND stands as both an artistic breakthrough and a tribute to the resilience of carers everywhere\, inviting viewers into a space where vulnerability becomes strength and the inner self is given room to breathe. \nI am delighted to have Dr. Brendan Murphy\, author and psychiatrist\, to be officially opening the exhibition. \nhttps://www.trybooking.com/DKPAG \nYou are warmly invited to join us for the opening night on Thursday 16 April 2025\, 6:30pm–8:30pm. and artist and guest talk at 7 pm \nFree admission\, with light refreshments provided. \nExhibition Dates: 16–25 April\nOpen 16–18 April and 23–25 April\, 12:00pm–3:00pm\nOther days by appointment \nLocation: The Track Gallery 47 Miller Crescent\, Mount Waverley VIC 3149 \nI hope you’ll join us to experience this story of hope\, transformation and the courage to create without limits. \nWarm regards\,\nConnie Wong
