It’s all about inviting new carers into the program and celebrating and supporting existing (unpaid or family) carers in our choirs. DESCRIPTION:Wellbeing Workshops for Carers is a free\, 10-week program designed to support carers to focus on their own health and wellbeing in a welcoming\, supportive environment. \nThe weekly sessions use gentle movement\, circus-inspired activities and creative play to reduce stress\, build confidence and encourage connection with others who share similar caring experiences. Sessions are relaxed\, non-competitive and adaptable\, with space to move at your own pace. \nWho is it for? \nThese workshops are for carers aged 18+ of any gender\, including those providing paid or unpaid support to someone with illness\, disability\, mental health needs or age-related frailty. \nNo prior experience is required\, and all activities are tailored to suit different bodies\, abilities\, cultural backgrounds and comfort levels. \nDates: \nWeekly sessions from Monday 20 April – Monday 29 June\, 1:30PM-3pm \n(No workshop on 8 June – King’s Birthday Public Holiday) \nYou can book for in for individual sessions or a package: sessions 1-5 or 6-10. \nWhere: \nWomen’s Circus\, 395 Barkly Street\, Footscray VIC \n  \nPresented by Australian Multicultural Community Services (AMCS) and Women’s Circus.

DESCRIPTION:Music Boosts Wellbeing\nUpper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Choirs For Carers is a project run by Creativity Australia supporting Victorian based carers through the power of music\, mindfulness\, and peer connection.
