DESCRIPTION:The Manager Is Me is a funny\, moving solo theatre work about the invisible labour of caring\, parenting\, working and somehow trying to hold onto yourself in the middle of it all. \nWritten and performed by 2025 Victorian Australian Poetry Slam Champion Dayna Fallon\, the show draws on her own experience of caring for her husband through complex health issues while raising three young children and working. \nThrough comedy\, spoken word and theatre\, The Manager Is Me shines a light on the emotional and practical work carers do every day — often quietly\, often behind closed doors\, and often without even thinking of themselves as carers. \nIt is a show about being the person everyone relies on\, making people laugh when things are falling apart\, and what happens when the person doing all the caring finally needs care too. \nFunny first\, but with real emotional weight underneath\, The Manager Is Me aims to help carers feel seen and to encourage audiences to recognise the caring work happening around them every day. \nPerforming at The Salon\, The Motley Wherehaus\, as part of Melbourne Fringe 2026.

DESCRIPTION:Pyrenees Carers Group Avoca invites unpaid carers from Avoca and surrounding communities to join us for a relaxed National Carers Week luncheon. \nThis free event is an opportunity for carers to take a break\, enjoy a meal\, connect with other local carers and learn more about available support. \nLunch includes a choice of main meal and one soft drink\, tea or coffee. \nNew members are warmly welcome. You do not need to be an existing member of Pyrenees Carers Group Avoca to attend. \nPlaces are limited and bookings are essential. Please book by Friday 9 October 2026\, unless booked out earlier. \nThis event is supported by Carers Victoria through the Carer Support Group Activity Grant 2026. \nNational Carers Week 2026 encourages everyone to “Care for a Carer” by checking in regularly\, offering a break\, acknowledging and appreciating carers\, and initiating support.
