SUMMARY:The Manager is Me
DESCRIPTION:The Manager Is Me is a funny\, moving solo theatre work about the invisible labour of caring\, parenting\, working and somehow trying to hold onto yourself in the middle of it all. \nWritten and performed by 2025 Victorian Australian Poetry Slam Champion Dayna Fallon\, the show draws on her own experience of caring for her husband through complex health issues while raising three young children and working. \nThrough comedy\, spoken word and theatre\, The Manager Is Me shines a light on the emotional and practical work carers do every day — often quietly\, often behind closed doors\, and often without even thinking of themselves as carers. \nIt is a show about being the person everyone relies on\, making people laugh when things are falling apart\, and what happens when the person doing all the caring finally needs care too. \nFunny first\, but with real emotional weight underneath\, The Manager Is Me aims to help carers feel seen and to encourage audiences to recognise the caring work happening around them every day. \nPerforming at The Salon\, The Motley Wherehaus\, as part of Melbourne Fringe 2026.

Sacha then worked as a co-ordinator for Veteran Home Care\, supporting veterans and their carers to access both veteran specific supports\, and also to understand My Aged Care. Sacha now works as a care finder and supports vulnerable and marginalized people to navigate My Aged Care. She is well versed in the changes since November 1 2025\, and has been working through various challenges relating to the change to assessments\, and the implementation of Support at Home. \nRachael Kimber \nAt Carers Victoria\, Rachael Kimber serves as the Practice Leader for Service Delivery and Innovation\, overseeing both the respite and mental health carer peer worker programs. Her experience spans a wide range of roles across government and community services\, with a particular focus on aged care. Rachael is genuinely passionate about working alongside communities\, especially carers\, to create services and opportunities that help people live and age well. Most recently\, she developed in partnership Carers Victoria’s group respite program for older people\, offering carers much-needed and meaningful breaks. \nWho can attend\nThis session is open to all carers and their family members who would like to know more about understanding the changes to Aged Care Services and Supports. \nLocation\nThis is an online event.
