The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Music Boosts Wellbeing\nUpper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. While you join the session\, a MyTime play leader will engage your children in meaningful play nearby. \nMyTime is a peer support program for parents and carers of children with disabilities\, developmental delays\, or chronic medical conditions. It offers connection\, support\, and resources in a safe and welcoming space. \nEligibility: Open to parents and carers of children up to 18 years of age with disability\, developmental delay\, or chronic medical conditions.
