All staff who work at the Centre have family carer lived experience.  This support happens in the drop in Connect Centre\, over the phone\, in carer peer support groups and through information sessions.

DESCRIPTION:lm St Mission and Women’s Health East warmly invite women from the outer east area who provide unpaid care to attend our Care4Carers group. \nWhether you support someone with a mental illness\, chronic condition\, or ageing-related needs\, this group is for you. \n  \nWhat to expect \nA safe and welcoming space to connect with others who understand the challenges of caring. \nWeekly sessions will include a mix of: Informal chat & connectionRelaxing\, fun\, and wellbeing-focused activitiesSharing experiences with like-minded womenMorning tea provided. \n  \nDates and time \nEvery Thursday\, Term 1 2026 \n10:30 AM – 12:00 PM \n  \nLocation\, parking and transport \nElm St Mission\, 654 Mountain Hwy\, Bayswater\, VIC 3153 \nThe venue is accessible and designed to be welcoming for all. DESCRIPTION:As part of National Carers Week unpaid carers are invited to relax and recharge.  Psychologist\, Tess Howells will teach simple somatic techniques to help release physical tension\, calm the nervous system\, and prevent caregiver burnout.  Afternoon tea will be provided\, and the opportunity to make your own bath salt or room freshener. \nRSVP essential numbers are limited (include any dietary requirements). \nAs part of the Cultivating Carers program held at West Warrnambool Neighbourhood House\, free for unpaid carers.
