DESCRIPTION:Music Boosts Wellbeing\nUpper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection\, joy\, and wellbeing for participants and their carers. \nJoin the Chorus!\nUMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia\, their carers and volunteers. DESCRIPTION:Puppy yoga in Melbourne puts an hour of movement and puppy play into the weekend for people who would enjoy a different recreational activity. \nYoga Paws combines beginner-friendly floor yoga\, dedicated puppy playtime and a relaxing finish in a 60-minute session. No previous yoga experience is needed\, mats are provided and participants must be aged 12 or over. The yoga takes place on the floor\, and handling guidance includes remaining seated while holding a puppy. \nPuppies choose when to approach\, play or rest. Two trained staff focus on animal care\, with a separate retreat area and full rest breaks between sessions. No animals are sold at the sessions. \nThis is a paid public recreational programme.
