This free workshop will held over 3 sessions and be presented by Mari Mohamed\, the Disability Support and Advocacy Coordinator from Chapter One Services. Morning Tea provided. \nPre-school aged children are welcome to attend. A play leader is available to engage children 0-6 years in meaningful play so you can relax and join the workshop. \nMyTime is a peer support program for parents and carers of children with disabilities\, developmental delays\, or chronic medical conditions. DESCRIPTION:Caring for a child with additional needs can be all-encompassing\, but looking after yourself isn’t a luxury—it’s essential. Join us at Blackburn MyTime for some basket weaving\, morning tea and a chat with other’s who understand. During this relaxed session\, you will learn to weave a small basket using natural plant materials that can be found in most gardens. All materials and morning tea will be supplied. \nPre-school aged children are welcome to attend. A play leader is available to engage children 0-6 years in meaningful play so you can unwind\, relax and get some much needed ‘me time’. \nMyTime is a peer support program for parents and carers of children with disabilities\, developmental delays\, or chronic medical conditions. It offers connection\, support\, and resources in a safe and welcoming space. \nEligibility: Open to parents and carers of children up to 18 years of age with disability\, developmental delay\, or chronic medical conditions. \nRSVP: Spaces are limited—registration is essential.
