DESCRIPTION:To celebrate and acknowledge our families and carers for all they do for their care recipients\, we are hosting a 1 hour Laughing Yoga workshop\, catered lunch and an afternoon of crafts at the Grampians Connect centre in Ballarat. \nThis day has been organised in conjunction with the carers that we are currently supporting. We would like to invite new mental health and or substance use carers into the centre and look forward to celebrating and supporting their caring roles. \nTo register for this event please call 1800 962 008 or email Grampiansmhwconnect@mindaustralia.org.au to speak with a Peer Practitioner who will assist you in registering. \nThe Grampians Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centre is a Department of Health funded service that supports families\, carers and supporters of people with mental health and substance use challenges. Support is given from a family and carer peer support perspective. All staff who work at the Centre have family carer lived experience.  This support happens in the drop in Connect Centre\, over the phone\, in carer peer support groups and through information sessions.

DESCRIPTION:This event is for parents and carers of children with a disability.This gentle 60-minute group sound healing session offers carers an opportunity to pause\, rest and recharge. The session will begin with a short guided relaxation before participants are immersed in the soothing sounds and vibrations of crystal singing bowls and other sound healing instruments. Participants are invited to get comfortable\, rest and experience the session in whatever way feels natural to them.Please book by 1st October as spaces are limited.
