VYCAT

VYCAT aims to raise awareness of young carers in the community and are involved in a variety of tasks, including training workshops, presenting to the media and running information sessions throughout the community.

Through participating in these activities, VYCAT intends to reach the many unidentified young carer’s, to link them to services, to help inform the development of government programs and implementation of direct service provision to young carers.

This involves providing greater education about the experiences and needs of young carers to service providers, teachers, families and the wider community to increase identification of young carers, and knowing how to best support them.

To find out more about VYCAT, contact the Young Carers State-wide Program Coordinator at Carers Victoria.

Carers Victoria acknowledges the traditional owners of this land and pays respect to elders both past and present.
