Disability Discrimination Legal Service (DDLS)

Free services

The DDLS provides information about disability discrimination law in a range of formats free to all members of the community. DDLS have a free booklet called "Using Disability Discrimination Law: A booklet for people with disabilities". The DDLS provide Referral to other relevant organisations or entities where necessary. Legal Advice can be provided via phone (regular or TTY service) or face to face. The Disability Discrimination Legal Service has an evening phone advice service for clients who have experienced discrimination in all areas covered by discrimination legislation, including race, age, sex, sexual identity, religion, carer and other areas. Contact the office during business hour to arrange a phone advice appointment. Casework Assistance - The DDLS provides assistance to prepare and lodge complaints about disability discrimination (eligibility rules apply)
