Want some skills and strategies to cope with the palliative care journey?

This program is a series of two three-hour sessions that explore in detail the palliative care journey from the carer perspective and helps carers recognise the difficulties and equip them with some coping strategies.

Who should attend

The program is open to carers and other family members caring for a person who is currently receiving palliative care.

Session 1 Palliative Care and You

Friday 24 April
10.00am – 1.00pm

Explore the carer journey through palliative care, how to communicate with family and friends, and questions for carers to think about.

Session 2 End of Life

Friday 1 May
10.00am – 1.00pm

Explore current attitudes to death and the practical matters associated with the dying process. Explore self-care for the carer during the end-of-life stage.

Please note The program workshops are three hours in duration. Participants must attend the first session to continue in the program and cannot bring the person they care for.
