Geelong Dementia Carer Support Group

This group is aimed at providing a social support for the people who care for a loved one living with Dementia. A chance for carers to connect to peers- share stories- strategies- and ideas as well as build friendships in the community.

What activities does the group undertake throughout the year?

This is a social and informal get-together. Some activities and games provided to help people engage. Carers are encouraged to bring activities/crafts/games that their loved one may enjoy participating in with others. Some resources of interest may be available on occasion; however this is not an education-based group and is facilitated by a volunteer and fellow carer.
