Connection Groups for people supporting loved ones in crisis

Our Connection Groups for people supporting loved ones in crisis will provide an opportunity for people supporting loved ones in crisis to connect with each other- to share experiences and understanding- led by facilitators with lived experience as suicide carers.

If you have supported someone you love experience thoughts of suicide- crisis- self-harm or suicide attempts- these groups are for you.

Our Connection Groups take place online via Zoom and have various planned dates throughout the year- with different themes. People can attend one or multiple. The upcoming groups are:
– Thursday 30th Jan (7pm – 8:30pm) – Support in the context of the whole family
– Wednesday 5th Feb (7:30pm – 9pm) – Disabled supporters
– Thursday 20th Feb (5pm – 6:30pm) – Supporters with personal suicide lived experience
– Tuesday 25th Feb (6pm – 7:30pm) – Building healthy relationships with the people we support
– Friday 7th March (7pm – 8:30pm) – Burnout & fatigue
– Thursday 20th March (7:30pm – 9pm) – Neurodiversity Celebration Week
– Monday 31st March (5pm – 6:30pm) – Trans Day of Visibility
– Wednesday 2nd April (6pm – 7:30pm) – Autism Acceptance Day
– Friday 11th April (7pm – 8:30pm) – Self-Care
– Monday 28th April (7:30pm – 9pm) – Young supporters (under 30)
– Tuesday 6th May (5pm – 6:30pm) – Eating Disorders & Suicide
– Thursday 15th May (6pm – 7:30pm) – Loneliness and connection
– Friday 23rd May (7pm – 8:30pm) – Accidental supporters and new support dynamics
