Emergency Care Planning for Carers in Bendigo

This practical 90 minute in person workshop supports carers to plan for unexpected situations when they may be unable to provide care as usual.

The workshop will cover why emergency care plans matter, the types of emergencies to consider, who could help, and what key information to document. Attendees will also have time to work through an emergency care plan template.

This is an introductory session focused on short-term planning and does not cover advanced care planning.

Caring for others is what you do every day – but what happens if you’re suddenly unable to provide care?

This supportive in person 90-minute workshop helps you think through and document what needs to be in place if an emergency arises.

We’ll explore:

  • why it’s important to have a plan
  • what kind of emergencies to plan for
  • who could help
  • what information to include

and guide you through an emergency care plan template.

We know this can feel overwhelming. The session will focus is on practical preparation so you can feel confident and supported if the unexpected happens.

Complimentary light refreshments, tea, and coffee. Connect with fellow carers, share experiences, and take a well-deserved break.

Who can attend

Open to carers living in Bendigo and surrounding areas.

Attendance is free, but registration is essential. Registrations will close when all places are filled.
