Carers Victoria hosts the unique free event, Roving Respite for Carers in Hamilton. Roving Respite is an all-day event that brings carers together in the local community for a day of practical support, connection and wellbeing – all in one place.

Gradually, they will be rolled out across regional towns as Carers Victoria expands local networks and support for carers.

What is Roving Respite?

Being a full day, Roving Respite offers a wide range of activities for carers.

These include:

  • unique and fun creative and wellbeing activities
  • free, shared morning tea and lunch
  • practical sessions to help you navigate systems, such as the NDIS or My Aged Care
  • practical sessions to help you manage everyday challenges, plan for the future, look after your own wellbeing
  • an expo environment where you can speak with the Carers Victoria team, local councils, support providers about supports available.
