NDIS: an update and what to expect in 2026

An online session about the most recent changes to the NDIS and some changes to come.

Join us for this online MyTime session about the latest and upcoming changes to the NDIS.

In this presentation, Kim Henderson will provide a discussion on the changes occurring and still to come in the NDIS space. Kim will share the official information provided by the NDIA and will also discuss what she is experiencing day-to-day with participants, planning and other processes following these changes.

Participants will gain knowledge about:

  • changes to the NDIS processes, programs and legislation
  • where are we with new government initiatives such as Thriving Kids and Support Needs Assessments
  • what is currently happening with reassessments and impairment notices
  • frequently changing guidelines such as therapy and ‘respite’
  • how changes might impact carers, children and families.

This session is for parents, carers and families of NDIS participants of all ages.

Presenter bio: Kim Henderson

Kim has worked in the disability sector in Victoria for 40 years, completing disability nursing, behaviour support planning and leadership along the way. Having worked across every facet of disability support, from institution support worker to day service coordinator to managing a disability specific organisation, Kim now uses her experience and knowledge to provide plain English support to families and individuals across the NDIS space supported through a local municipal council.

She has one daughter who is a NDIS participant and has relocated to America for her work and another daughter who lives in Western Australia with Kim’s beautiful twin grandchildren.
