Staying connected in pride – LGBT+ people and dementia

26 Jun 2026 10.00am - 1.00pm

Join us for the launch of Dementia Australia’s new LGBT+ hub!

The new LGBT+ hub is an online space created with LGBT+ people, partners, families, carers, friends and communities in mind who may be impacted by dementia.

If you’re worried about changes in memory or thinking for yourself, a partner, family member or someone close to you, this free event is a welcoming opportunity to learn more, connect with support, and explore resources designed with LGBT+ communities in mind.

The event will include an introduction to the new hub, followed by two information sessions:

Worried About Your Memory?

  • understanding the brain
  • how memory works
  • ageing, mild cognitive impairment and dementia
  • memory strategies

What is Dementia?

  • understanding dementia
  • types of dementia
  • diagnosis, support and services
  • living well with dementia

Whether you are seeking information, support, or simply want to learn more, everyone is welcome.

RSVP at https://da_lgbt_hub.eventbrite.com.au and help us celebrate more inclusive support for LGBT+ communities affected by dementia.
