Walk for Carers: National Carers Week 2025

2 Oct 2025 9.30am - 11.30am

Walks for Carers invites carers of people with disability, mental illness, or aged care needs to join free local walking events. Connect with other carers, share experiences, and learn about available supports. Each group is led by carers for carers—making the program truly unique! Enjoy a chance to walk, talk, and have a cuppa.

Ahead of National Carer’s Week, Noble Park Community Centre will host a special morning tea with guest speaker James (Jay) Boag. Jay brings a lived carer experience, having cared for his wife with Alzheimer’s, and shares practical insights into dementia care. He also holds a Bachelor of Dementia Care and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree.
