Supporting Mental Health Carers in Brimbank

You care for them. We are here to support you.

Carers Victoria and cohealth have joined forces to provide dedicated support for those in Brimbank caring for someone with mental illness.

What is a Carer Peer Worker?
Our Carer Peer Workers have their own lived experience of supporting someone with mental health challenges. They combine this personal insight with professional skills to help you navigate the system and find the support you deserve.

Our team assists you in accessing vital services, education, and training, including:

  • Financial & Material Aid: Help with food relief, budgeting and managing fines.
  • Mental Health Access: Advocacy for free services through the Brimbank Hub.
  • Legal & Social Support: Links to legal aid, social activities, and community programs.
  • Aged Care & Disability: Guidance on navigating and accessing complex service systems.

Simple, Free Access
We believe support should be easy to reach.

  • Cost: Completely Free
  • No Referral Needed: No Medicare card or GP referral required.
