Have your say on voting centre accessibility

Published on 22 January, 2026

Carers are essential in supporting people with a range of disabilities to vote in elections. Carers also need to factor in their care responsibilities when considering the options to cast their own vote.

The Victorian Parliament is currently reviewing how voting centres could be made more accessible for people with disability.

Alongside this review, as a member of the Victorian Electoral Commission’s Electoral Access Advisory Group, Carers Victoria is also able to report back on carers’ experiences of voting in relation to themselves or people they care for.

We are inviting you to complete a brief survey to support our submission to the Inquiry. This survey will close on 8 February 2026.  Please click the link here: Carers Victoria: Inquiry into Voting Centre Accessibility – Fill out form

You are also encouraged to make a submission directly to the Committee.

The Committee's deadline is 20 February 2026 and further information can be found here: Inquiry into voting centre accessibility - Parliament of Victoria
