Supporting our carers

Did you know that 1 in 8 Victorians are carers? If you provide unpaid assistance or support to a family member, friend or someone else in your community who is living with disability, mental illness, health challenges or age-related conditions, you are a carer too.

Unpaid carers in our community do important work, but it can be time consuming. And exhausting.

Fortunately, organisations like Carers Victoria are there to help you.

Carers Victoria can give you quick, accurate information about how to get what you, or the people you care for, need. They can give you advice on how to manage your caring role. And they can link you to available government funded respite and programs for carers like you.
