Carer Group Mornington

Previously was part of Peninsula Health but they have cut funding and we have continued to meet and manage ourselves. The other Peninsula Health carer groups in Rosebud and Hastings have been amalgamated into one and we now meet as one group at the Community Centre in Mornington. We have a mix of men and women caring for partners and adult children with disabilities and mental illness.

Formal meeting, usually with a guest speaker once per month.
Informal coffee catch up once per month.
In the past we have had an annual carers retreat but as we are no longer funded we hope to access some council funding to continue running it. Voluntary $3 payment to cover the cost of morning tea at the formal meeting.
