This Carers Week event provides an opportunity for unpaid carers in the Nillumbik community to connect with others, participate in a creative activity and access information and resources.
The event includes a watercolour session, The Joy of Colour, followed by a community morning tea. The watercolour session is suitable for all experience levels, with materials provided. The morning tea provides an informal opportunity for carers to meet others, share experiences and connect with their local community.
Council’s Disability Inclusion Officer will be available during the event to provide information about local resources and services and hear about issues that are important to carers.
The event is open to unpaid carers who support a partner, parent, child, sibling, friend or neighbour due to disability, illness, mental health challenges, ageing or other circumstances.
