Nourishing Nests Workshop in Ascotvale

12 Nov 2026 10.00am - 1.00pm

This 3-hr workshop will empower you with information on self-care practices that will restore energy and build resilience – to prevent carer burnout! All whilst enjoying a morning tea and connecting with other carers in a relaxing venue, The Sacred Nest.

Note: Funding through Carer Gateway may be available for some unpaid carers.

We will explore the vagus nerve and its role in the gut-brain connection and the latest in Food and Mood research.

Topics we will explore….

  • How the Vagus Nerve can help you manage chronic stress and keep mealtimes calm
  • The gut microbiome and its role in your health, including mental health, through the gut-brain connection
  • Discover how food quality affects mental wellbeing through this connection
  • Clarify what makes a food nourishing vs inflammatory through understanding the effects of processing on food quality.
