Ballarat Parkinsons Support Group

The impact of Parkinson’s and Atypical Parkinson’s (PSP, MSA, CBS) extends further than just the person who has been diagnosed. There is no cure and as the condition progresses those caring for someone with Parkinson’s take on more of the household duties, medical liaison, as well as assistance with the activities of daily living.

Carers may be partners, relatives, friends, or neighbours.

The Ballarat Parkinson’s Support Group is a volunteer peer support group, with Fight Parkinsons (Parkinson’s Vic). We have approximately 60 people attending regularly to the monthly support meetings. A monthly newsletter is mailed/emailed to 150 people associated with our BPSG.

Annual Membership is $20.00. Meetings $3.00 to cover afternoon tea.
