PlayConnect Plus Mount Waverley

Our group supports families who care for a child with a disability from 0 to 8 years. PlayConnect Plus playgroups provide a forum for parents- siblings- and other caregivers to foster supportive social relationships with others who share similar experiences. These networks provide an invaluable source of emotional and practical support for families across the challenging and often emotional journey of parenting a child with a disability.

We meet at the Pinewood Child and Family Hub every week through the school, term. Our program is run by a trained, experienced facilitator and support staff. The program consists of various play-based activities designed to enhance the learning experience and relationship of the carer and child. We have discussions relevant to the needs of our carers and occasionally bring in guest speakers for more specific information.
