Many carers provide support to family members and friends with dementia. Learning about Dementia can be a great way to support you in your caring role.

About this event

Join this session with Dementia Australia for an informative and supportive session designed to help you better understand dementia

This presentation will provide an overview of:

– what dementia is

– common signs and symptoms

– different types of dementia

– how dementia can affect memory, thinking, behaviour and daily life

– Services and supports.

You will have the option to submit a question at the time of registration. The guest speaker will also respond to as many live questions as possible during the session.

 

About the presenters

Bianca Colombage – Dementia Australia

Bianca is a Dementia Support Specialist with Dementia Australia. Bianca is joined by Helen Bossong, a Dementia Counsellor with Dementia Australia.

Kim Repcak and Tania Daniels – Carers Victoria

Kim Repcak is a Carer Educator at Carers Victoria who delivers impactful workshops and presentations to carers and carer support groups across the state.

Tania Daniels is a Sector Educator at Carers Victoria who builds carer awareness with external organisations through workshops, presentations and expert panels.

Who can attend

This session is open to all carers and their family members who would like to know more about how to support someone with Dementia.
