Music Boosts Wellbeing

Upper Murray Family Care was passionate about making the UMFC Alchemy Chorus a reality. Multiple studies have demonstrated that music can support brain health and emotional wellbeing with people living with dementia. The success of the founding Canberra Alchemy Chorus has strongly informed UMFC’s approach in developing a local choir that fosters connection, joy, and wellbeing for participants and their carers.

Join the Chorus!

UMFC have established an inclusive chorus which can be enjoyed by people living with dementia, their carers and volunteers. The chorus offers an opportunity to engage in a joyful activity where connection is paramount, participants can share their experiences and sing in a performing chorus.
