Half Priced Taxi Card: The Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP)

The Victorian State Government’s Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) makes transport more accessible and affordable for people with a severe disability.

What is it?

The Multi Purpose Taxi Program (MPTP) helps eligible Victorians access safe and affordable taxi and rideshare travel by subsidising fares.

The program is open to people with disability, older adults, and others who have significant mobility or accessibility needs, specifically those whose severe disability prevents them from using public transport safely and independently, or whose permanent disability is unlikely to improve with treatment.

The MPTP Card is issued by Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria (CPVV). MPTP members receive 50 % off the standard fare (covering up to $60 per trip). Please note that the cost of any road tolls or airport fees is paid by the passenger.
