Carers Victoria is committed to continuing to advance understanding of Victoria’s unpaid carers and improving their access to assistance across the state – regardless of who they are, where they live, or who they care for.
In the lead up to the 2026 State Election, Carers Victoria is calling for action by unpaid carers that recognises that Carers Count.

Throughout National Carers Week we raise awareness and recognise all of Victoria’s unpaid carers - a massive three quarters of a million people.
Carers Victoria is asking everyone in our community - from individuals to schools to organisations and government - to make time in National Carers Week to Care for a Carer through sometimes small, but always powerful, actions.
