Carers Victoria is a not-for-profit incorporated association with a mixed core funding base provided mostly by the Victorian and Australian governments.
Our organisational documents outline the strategic and governance framework in which we operate and provide an opportunity for us to account to our members, funding bodies and supporters.
Carers Victoria’s AGM is on Thursday 21 November 2019. The AGM is an official event in which all Carers Victoria members are invited to attend. At the AGM, Carers Victoria’s Board is proposing to change the legal structure of the organisation from an Incorporated Association to a Company Limited by Guarantee. Carers Victoria’s Strategic Imperatives builds on the strengths of the past and provides a vision for a successful and sustainable future which enables us to grow our reach, diversify our service offer and maintain Carers Victoria as ‘the’ place to go for all carers for advice, information, services and supports in Victoria. To achieve our vision, our imperatives is built around three strategic priorities
Raise our Profile - Promote our organisation and build our membership base – Leverage our commitment to diversity.
Leverage our Knowledge and Resource - Review our resourcing and workﬂow – Consolidate our knowledge, data and evidence.
Ensure Financial Sustainability - Prepare for a winning tender submission and deﬁne robust alternative funding sources.
Carers Victoria is Incorporated under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Vic) and is governed by a Board elected by the members. Read our governance documents here.
