Ballarat Mums Neurodiverse Kids
Hello, I’m Ashleigh, the Ballarat mum behind the group and page “Ballarat Mums Neurodiverse Kids”
I started this space because I’ve found the already established mothers groups in Ballarat are more targeted to mothers of small babies and neurotypical children.
Mothering/parenting a neurodivergent child/neurodiverse children can be incredible and beautiful - but also lonely, confusing, EXHAUSTING and let’s be honest, totally overwhelming at times. I wanted a place for Ballarat mums (and primary carers) to feel seen, supported, and understood - without having to explain everything all the time.
This space is for all of you - whether you’re new to the journey, deep in it, or still figuring things out.
Share what feels right, ask anything, and know this is a safe, supportive, and kind space.
I’ll be sharing a variety of things here from educational bits, real talk, local meetups, local spaces + events for our neurodiverse kiddos, encouragement and uplift to name a few.
We meet for regular coffees, meals and/or play dates and we have a group chat of 23 members at present
Thanks for being here - I’m so glad we’re in this together.
Big love, Ashleigh 💛
