Strengthening Parent Support Program (Barwon): Out & Active

Out & Active is a welcoming group for parents and carers of children with additional needs who would like to focus on their own wellbeing.

We explore a range of local sports and exercise classes across the Barwon region, then take the time to connect over a post-game coffee.

It's about staying active, sharing a laugh, and building friendships with people who understand the challenges and rewards of being a parent-carer.

Gateways Support Services' Strengthening Parent Support Program is a free, inclusive program providing support and resources for families to build strong, social networks in their local community.

What activities does the group undertake throughout the year?

Tuesday morning coffee catch-ups, online & in-person information & education sessions, guest speakers, social outings, Out & Active exercise groups.
