Carers painting Workshop: Connect, Create, Reflect

Caring for a child with a disability can be both rewarding and challenging, often leaving little time for self-care or connection. This workshop offers a chance to step away from daily responsibilities, meet others with shared experiences, and take part in a creative activity that supports wellbeing.

We'll begin the day with coffee and cake at Experience SAM (Shepparton Art Museum) - a moment to slow down and enjoy good company in a welcoming space.

From there, we’ll walk to Kaiela Arts, where a local artist will gently guide you through creating a small painting, inspired by the natural world. No prior art experience is needed - just a willingness to try something new and explore.

This is a relaxed, supportive space to connect, reflect, and enjoy some time for yourself.

Who can attend

A half day program for carers of children, (including adult children) with a disability who live in Shepparton and the surrounding areas.
