Victorian Annual Carers Forum - postponement advice

Important Update – Victorian Annual Carers Forum

In order to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) and protect the health and safety of carers and the people they care for, the Victorian Carer Strategy – Annual Carers Forum 2020 is being postponed from May 2020 until early 2021.

Annual carer forums are held as part of the Victorian Government’s Victorian Carer Strategy 2018-22: Recognising and Supporting Victoria’s carers. The first forum was held in 2019.

The forum provides an opportunity for carers, organisations and government to engage about carer needs, provide feedback and learn about initiatives under the strategy.

The Department of Health and Human Services will communicate more details about the forum once they are confirmed. The consideration of the needs of carers and care recipients is paramount in planning to reschedule this forum.
